The Sr. Director IT US will collaborate with the US Commercial leaders and global marketing to deliver solutions and services that measurably improve business KPIs - while efficiently/effectively leveraging internal and external IT capability. Provide people leadership on IT engagement processes, thought leadership on strategic direction (business & IT), and results leadership that ensures successful delivery of IT solutions & services (including support). A Business Leader with an 'IT Lens'.. The primary success measures are:. - Business Capability and Metrics Achievement - achieve business scope and metrics for delivered solutions (examples: Sales growth, productivity improvement, quality improvement). Solution Delivery - achieve budget, schedule, and quality objectives for delivered solutions. Stakeholder Satisfaction - achieve high stakeholder satisfaction. Landscape Leverage - attain high leverage of technology assets & continually simplify IT landscape. Demand Management Effectiveness - gather, aggregate, prioritize, and balance demand for business capabilities with supply of business/IT resources (funding, staffing, technologies). The position reports to the Vice President of IT for Commercial & Enterprise and has a high level of autonomy to manage activity with business stakeholders, customers, and suppliers. The incumbent will lead/influence a cross-functional team of experts experienced in critical business processes and enabling technologies - to deliver solutions that create business value. Includes designing business processes, policies, organization, data, and systems technology through program management and solution lifecycle methodologies. Transparently works across business and IT communities to build focused teams with the right skills and leadership.. Responsibilities :. (20%) Strategize: Formulate an IT strategy that enables US and Marketing business strategies and aligns/influences global IT strategies. Lead the creation and continuous improvement of a business capability and IT enablement roadmap for US Commercial and Marketing including understanding short and long term business plans and objectives, IT investments and strategies, cross-industry technology and business trends, and competitive environment. Revise roadmap (3-5 year horizon) on at least an annual basis and support with capital requirement estimates and business cases.. (20%) Design: Capture, aggregate, and prioritize a portfolio of IT investments to enable the near-term (rolling 12-month) needs as defined on the Commercial capability roadmap. Lead the ideation and high-level planning of IT projects including specification of high-level business requirements, formulation of business process and technology solution options, creation and vetting of business cases, and high-level project planning (scope, schedule, & budget). Incorporate process standardization and simplification improvements in high-level designs to enable business strategy and streamline the IT applications landscape over time (Application Lifecycle Management).. (30%) Execute: Lead execution of US Commercial IT investment portfolio to achieve scope, schedule, financial, & quality commitments thru operating a metrics-based management system, ensuring adherence to principles and standards in the solution lifecycle management process, spearheading trade-off analyses and assessments (project timing, technology approaches, requirements prioritization, etc), supporting solution design and testing activities, managing user-acceptance testing, assessing overall quality of designed and tested solution, ensuring go-live readiness of Business & IT communities, measuring business value results after solution stabilization. Leverage IT global shared services and competency centres.. (15%) Govern & Communicate: Champion US Commercial understanding and priorities through IT investment portfolio governance process to ensure alignment of projects with business objectives, leverage of assets and practices, and synthesis with broader corporate-wide priorities. Serve as the \"glue\" bringing together Business and IT communities to achieve common goals; and secure active participation and strong advocacy from Business and IT communities, customers, suppliers, and industry bodies. Establish, maintain and achieve Service Level Agreements with business partners, Operational Level Agreements with IT community and Contracts with third party providers.. (15%) Coach and Develop: Develop future IT leaders and promote a customer centric culture aligned to S&N and IT values. Mentors and influences individuals in consideration of their career opportunities and contribution to the organization.. Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to effectively develop staff.. Location : Andover. Education : Bachelors degree in computer science or related areas, MBA preferred. Licenses/ Certifications:. Business Relationship Management. Training/certification in Agile, Project Management preferred. Typically has 10 to 15 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 5 years of leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders. Includes advanced technical and business knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance, project management.. Demonstrated application of Six-Sigma/Lean/AGILE methodologies to yield tangible business results.. Demonstrated track record of translating business strategies into IT investments portfolios.. Proven track record of successfully executing complex Business-IT programs/projects.. Has worked in a regulated business.. Demonstrated full life-cycle vendor management. Program/Project Management, Six Sigma/Lean methods and practices. - Functional process knowledge needed - eg Sales and marketing processes & supporting technologies. Preferred:. Org design, operating models, management practices, and metrics. Business Relationship Management certification. Training/certification in Agile, Project Management.
