Psychiatrist - Adults
Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based mental health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to provide clinical leadership to a talented multi-disciplinary treatment team who treat adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Patients are primarily participants in our Community Support Program (CSP).
As a Riverbend Psychiatrist, your primary responsibilities will be providing direct clinical care in an outpatient setting with regular office hours. You'll also work closely with other psychiatrists, APRNs, nursing staff and others - both inside and outside Riverbend - to continually shape and develop an effective and integrated system of care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and make clinical formulations and diagnoses
* Use assessments in the development of an appropriate psychopharmacological treatment plan
* Review and authorize treatment/service plans with client and family driven goals and objectives reflecting medical necessity, client strengths, symptoms and functional impairments.
* Consults with other Riverbend providers, family members and significant others, and community providers.
* Utilize electronic health record (EHR) to document patient information, referrals or other relevant information as required.
* Adhere to all compliance procedures relevant to protected health information (PHI) and HIPAA regulations.
* Participate in and/or provide training related to this position.
* Participate in an on-call rotation involving weeknights and weekends for a 15-bed inpatient unit (rotated among 10 providers - approximately 5 weeks per year). On-call work is paid at an additional rate.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
* Medical degree (MD or DO) is required
* Valid New Hampshire medical license, or ability to become licensed as a medical provider in New Hampshire is required
* Board certification (or eligible) in Psychiatry is required
* Valid DEA certificate with prescriptive authority is required
* Ability to be credentialed with Concord Hospital as a Physician is required
* Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with attention to detail is required
* Experience working in community mental health and/or inpatient psychiatry is preferred
* Experience treating patients with diverse clinical profiles and clinical co-morbidities is preferred
